We started Dé Glot because we believe languages are a tool for building world peace. When we learn another person's language, we don't just learn new words. We gain another way of understanding their culture, their experiences and their world. Dé Glot creates spaces where people from different backgrounds can learn, speak, connect and build bonds across cultures, and our work contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
We keep our membership affordable because we want this opportunity to remain accessible, but keeping the community running, creating resources, organising activities and supporting the volunteers who give their time and skills takes resources.
